My name is Riya Shah, and I am a high school senior in Indiana. I’ve always been passionate about the stories that connect us to our roots and to each other. This blog is a space for me to share my own journey of discovery, as well as the voices of others who are passionate about celebrating their heritage, traditions, and the unique experiences that define them. Our world is so diverse and there’s so much that can be learned by simply observing and listening to others. Türkiye
Türkiye is a beautiful country full of people with pride for their heritage. From the bustling markets of Istanbul to the beaches in Cappadocia, there’s so many experiences that exist in Türkiye that make the country unique. Much of the Turkish population is Muslim, with ties to the Ottoman and Byzantine empire that existed before the nation became its own.
